Crossing is a an open-ended sketch I more-or-less let fill in slowly, of its own accord. My choice was to not force an event, but to drift, to essentially "cross" from a start to an ending. The seed was a G drone, and this peculiar hi-hat pattern made from triplets mashed against swing 8ths. Does it have a melody (maybe?), does it have rhythm (yes), does it have harmony (a bit) does it have texture (lots)? What gold you find buried within owes its luster to the talents of....
