Happy New Year! Are you like me, wrapped for years in the warm, fuzzy, possibly recently intoxicated embrace of the academic calendar? This week of gradually lengthening ⁂ Shadows ⁂ always feels like the real restart of the year, so cheers to the whole new syllabus in your life. This fall I approach an anniversary of another kind, in that a year ago this song and its 30 companion pieces had yet to even become a twinkle of a bad idea.

This surf-ballad exists thanks to you listeners out there, and also these EXTRA extraordinary friends :)
